The Mograbi Lab focuses its research on self-awareness processes, exploring these phenomena by taking affective & cognitive neuroscience approaches, working with healthy adults and clinical conditions, such as dementia, epilepsy and bipolar disorder. Our main goal is to produce socially responsible research that can improve our understanding of human experience and have a positive impact on people’s lives. The laboratory has an eye-tracker, an electroencephalogram (EEG), a near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) device, physiological measurement sensors, as well as partnerships for magnetic resonance imaging.
List of projects: “Self-awareness and error monitoring in neuro-oncological patients”, “Perspective-taking and awareness in Alzheimer’s Disease”, “Insight and implicit adaptation in bipolar disorder”, “Psychedelics and self-awareness”, “Brazilian adaptation and validation of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy for Dementia”, “Emotional processing and decision-making in the context of a pandemic”, “Development of a multicomponent intervention for alexithymia”.
