Scientific Meetings
  1. Mission:

The Study Center of the Institute of Psychiatry at the UFRJ (CE-IPUB) is the institution’s highest scientific and cultural meeting body. The Study Center’s mission is to be an environment for the institution’s scientific-intellectual production.

Focusing on Psychiatry and Mental Health, it was created in 1951, and its permanent functions include scientific research, debate, exchange, and dissemination of knowledge. This is carried out through national and international events, open to the academic community and society, and to the internal and external public, such as defenses of master’s dissertations and doctoral theses, presentation of work carried out in the different areas of Psychiatry and Mental Health, and discussion of points of scientific and public interest within the laboratories’ lines of research and the spectrum of expertise of the Institute’s faculty.

Additionally, the Study Center aims to create a space for exchange with scientific and cultural activities produced by other institutions and associations in different areas of Mental Health and related sciences, which are of interest to the IPUB academic community.

The Study Center events are held in person and virtually, in real time, with possibilities of accessing the content presented in knowledge bases, ensuring the breadth of content dissemination.
