With the permanent and focal objective of expanding its scientific production capacity and contributing to the development of knowledge, the Postgraduate Program in Psychiatry and Mental Health – PROPSAM, encourages its faculty in the creation of Laboratories and Research Units that contemplate the multiplicity of Psychiatry and Mental Health disciplines. Housed in its 27 Laboratories and Research Units, whose access links are below, the Research Units constitute a basis for research by professors and undergraduate and graduate students (Master and Doctorate) for the educational development of those involved. In addition, the findings of these researches are applied in the free treatment open to the community granted to patients of Psychiatry and Mental Health at the Institute of Psychiatry (IPUB) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Visiting each of the Laboratories and Research Units, it will be possible to know the respective lines of research, their projects and their coordinators.
