The general objective is to investigate the socio-demographic, psychopathological, neurobiological, and therapeutic characteristics of treatment-resistant depression. DeReTrat has been operating for 5 years and is composed of a multidisciplinary team (doctors, psychologists, and nurses). He is currently responsible for the publication of several national and international articles. A longitudinal study is currently underway to evaluate the evolution of patients with resistant depression submitted to a standardized treatment protocol. Several aspects related to treatment resistance are being explored in this study, such as adherence, therapeutic response, quality of life and associated factors such as sexual dysfunction, among others. The group has also conducted therapeutic trials of pharmacological agents such as esketamine and psychotherapeutic interventions such as Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy. We also participate in international projects in resistant depression such as the “Latin American Registry of Treatment-Resistant Depression”. DeReTrat’s infrastructure comprises clinical care facilities and meeting rooms equipped with didactic resources. We have received funding from pharmaceutical industry projects and funding agencies.
