Physician graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1985.
He completed Medical Residency in Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry at UFRJ in 1987.
Master in Psychiatry from the Psychiatry Institute of UFRJ in 1992.
PhD in Health Sciences by the Psychiatric Institute of UFRJ in 1997.
Post-doctorate in applied epistemology by the Center de Recherche en épistémologie appliquée / École Polytechnique (Paris / France) in 2006-2007
Associate professor at the Psychiatry Institute at UFRJ
Permanent professor of the Graduate Program in Psychiatry and Mental Health (PROPSAM) and the Professional Master’s in Psychosocial Care, of which he is the coordinator.
Coordinator of the Laboratory of Studies and Research in Psychopathology and Subjectivity (LEPPS)
Develops teaching activities at the undergraduate level (Medicine – internship), specialization (Medical and Multiprofessional Residency, specialization courses) and graduated studies.
