1-Brief description of what the laboratory is:
The Laboratory was initially established as the Epilepsy Program of the Neurology Institute, years later, it incorporated sleep as another line of research. Today it is dedicated to the interface between sleep and epilepsy which share mechanisms and mutual neural processes. This pathophysiological relationship has very important consequences from a clinical point of view.
This laboratory aims to: study sleep / sleep disorders in patients with epilepsy, or similar; influences of sleep on epilepsy and vice versa;

Special equipment for research, computers, etc, a meeting room and two rooms with video EEG-PSG equipment.
4- Main research projects
a-Anomalous nocturnal sleep behaviors and panic disorders or dissociative disorders. Dreams.
b-Periodic leg movements as possible predictors of epileptic seizures
c-Circadian variability of cortical excitability in patients with epilepsy
